GMEX Group is an initiative in the exchange space covering the major asset classes (Equities, Derivatives, FX, Commodities and Debt), developed to help tackle the numerous problems facing global financial markets.
We are targeting two distinct but inter-related market opportunities brought on by changes to international regulation and the growth and development of emerging and developing market economies.
The first opportunity is addressed by the London Derivatives Exchange (LDX) trading segment of Global Markets Exchange Group Ltd (GMEX), which subject to regulatory approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), will operate as a Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF). LDX is designed to help in the transition of Over the Counter (OTC) derivatives to CCP (Central Counterparty) cleared exchange trading, as is required by the numerous new laws and regulations in the developed market economies.
The second aspect to GMEX is the technology company and the three global exchange segments. These exchange segments along with our currently available technology enable us to actively engage with new markets and developing exchanges to aid in their growth and entrance into world financial markets.
We do this through technology provision, co-hosting of products and liquidity development, inter connectivity of liquidity pools and product development through GDI. We work in partnership rather than as a pure customer to client relationship. This sets us apart from our competitors who are more dominating than GMEX and thus seen as a threat to the independence of the local exchanges. We work on the premise of maintaining our partners independence and mutual growth of our businesses.
