Hangzhou, China, June 30, 2017 –Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, was included by Gartner, the world's leading research and advisory company, in its newly released Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Worldwide (Lydia Leong et al. / Published Date: 15 June 2017). This is the first time that Alibaba has been positioned in the Quadrant, placing it in the top echelon of global cloud players.
Though new to the Magic Quadrant, Alibaba Cloud moves straight into the 'visionaries' section, a demonstration of Gartner's recognition of Alibaba Cloud's strong performance in cloud IaaS in China, and its growing investment in new markets.
