In this seminal benchmark study, Digital Content Next (DCN) and White Ops worked to categorize the bot impact across high-quality Web publisher sites. White Ops conducted the study from late June to mid-August 2015, analyzing more than 16 billion impressions across 32 DCN Member sites. The study found that these high-quality publishers had a lower sophisticated bot problem than the broader advertising ecosystem in general, due mostly to their operational policies and vigilance, among other factors.

If digital marketers take no other steps to combat fraud other than buying on the clean, high-quality publisher sites, they will be in the top quintile with respect to lower fraud rates, and significantly reduce the share of their ad budget lost to criminal activity.

White Ops is the global pioneer in deterministic botnet detection and sophisticated digital fraud prevention.
