New York/London, February 26, 2014 – Interactive Data Corporation, a leading global provider of managed ultra-low latency IT and market data feed services designed to facilitate electronic trading, today announced that it has received an industry award for ‘Best Infrastructure/Technology Initiative’ at the Wall Street Letter Institutional Trading Awards, held on February 25 in New York.
Interactive Data won in the category of ‘Best Infrastructure/Technology Initiative’ for its 7ticks managed services business. Hundreds of leading hedge funds, independent software vendors, futures commission merchants, investment banks and proprietary trading firms utilize the 7ticks offering, helping to lower total cost of ownership for their trading infrastructure, achieve faster time to market and leverage Interactive Data’s networking and trading domain expertise.
The 7ticks network provides Direct Market Access (DMA) to more than 50 global markets with advanced co-location and proximity hosting for global direct exchange data and consolidated data, as well as reference and corporate actions data. DMA connectivity is available for a wide range of global futures, options, foreign exchange and equities exchanges and trading venues for multi-asset class and ultra-low latency trading. The 7ticks network also provides access to the Interactive Data Consolidated Feed, which delivers low latency data from more than 450 sources worldwide.
"We are delighted that the Wall Street Letter Institutional Trading Awards have recognized our efforts to innovate the 7ticks offering in response to market requirements,” said Sean Brown, president of 7ticks at Interactive Data. “Throughout 2013, we continued to expand the reach of our 7ticks network for the global electronic marketplace and to build out the exchange content available to clients. We also invested in information technology resources to help our clients experience better performance and delivery times, as well as additional capacity.”
The Wall Street Letter Institutional Trading Awards recognize excellence among providers to the institutional trading industry, awarding brokerage firms, exchanges and financial technology companies for achievements and innovation over the last year. A panel of independent judges, who was appointed by the Wall Street Letter publication, reviewed nominations and determined the final winners. Judges considered the positive impacts that finalists had in the market with their specified offering, as well as the level of client satisfaction illustrated.
